Pluto & Charon - Not one influence on us all, but TWO!!!

 

As you may agree, we are living in very uncertain and challenging times as things we thought that could not be possible suddenly seem possible. It's time to look at things and situations in a completely different light, and in this article today I wish to throw a spanner in the works of Astrological doctrine, and to make everyone who studies astrology to sit up and think.

Full Moon in Cancer – Foreshadowing a deeper and more intense change

I don't know about you and in your life, but the last few days have seemed to me to be pretty intense. We have just been through a very difficult moment as Mercury stationed retrograde while activating the big aspect of 2021, the Saturn square to Uranus. This brought back issues from 2021 into focus, and forced us to face matters that we were responsible for, maybe for difficult positions that we had put ourselves in previously? Both Mercury and Venus are now retrograde for pretty much the rest of this month, and we likely find ourselves to be in some kind of roll back situation until they both turn direct – first Venus on 29th January followed by Mercury on 4th February. These will dredge up situations linked to previous decisions and rules activated by the Mercury station, and we may have to deal with previous social contacts or maybe financial issues affected by Venus. All these will have to be considered and reviewed by the end of the month.

Is the UK on the verge of another “Winter of Discontent”?

We all live and experience cycles because eventually the planets come back to the same or similar parts of the universe in their orbits around our Sun, and in so doing they affect similar regions of our zodiac triggering problems or challenges that we may have seen before. In Britain, we may be start to see a situation that harks to the past developing once again, and the chief protagonist in all this is Uranus.

New Moon in Libra on 6th October 2021 – Rapid Change

We are coming up to the next New Moon occurring in a few days time on 6th October, and naturally it will be happening in the sign of Libra, the sign of relating with others, of equality and justice. There is a very interesting dynamic with this lunation that may see some quite dramatic turnarounds in our relationships, and you already may be starting to feel a shift that is occurring

How will the United States deal with its Pluto Return?

Tomorrow we enter October and a month that will see three of our outer planets starting to march forward once again. It really will be a turnaround month with Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury all switching motion from retrograde to direct. Just for the record, Pluto stations on the 6th followed by Saturn on the 11th. Then Jupiter and Mercury simultaneously change direction on the 18th October within 10 hours of each other. By the middle of the month we really should be starting to build up a head of steam, engines ready to go, as the prospect of making some forward progress in our lives becomes an actual reality. Much of what we were able to muster in the previous month or two may have been linked in some way in the past. Now we will be able to use everything that we have been given, and look to branch out into fresh territory.

The Full Moon in Pisces on 21st September – The incomplete truth

We are on the verge of another full Moon, and this one early tomorrow morning (UK time) lands in the sacrificial sign of Pisces. As you will know if you have followed my work or any other reputable astrology writer, the Full Moon is a moment in time when everything comes together and the full extent of a situation is known and revealed. Now I preface that this is normally the case, but in this particular situation and under this full Moon, I am not so sure if the full extent of what is going on will be opened out. The reason is that both Pisces where the Full Moon will be located and its conjunction with Neptune moving in its own sign may cast elements of doubt and will bring a lack of clarity over proceedings. I say may, because with Neptune and Pisces, you never know where the end is, as everything is so open-ended.

Mercury Retrograde in Libra – How we relate to each other

Yesterday as we experienced a New Moon in Virgo, Mercury quietly entered the retrograde zone where it will be operating between now and 22nd November. Often we Astrologers get fixated on the actual degrees where Mercury stops and stations, and we forget the general theme that is going on. Especially in Virgo season, one might be prone to take our eyes off the wider picture, but we shouldn't.

Simone Biles wthdraws from the Tokyo Olympics

There is no doubt that Simone Biles has over the past decade been the best female gymnast on the planet. Supreme at her sport and almost unbeatable, but even the great ones cannot stand in the way of the planets when they come knocking on the door. Today in a surprise move, she withdrew from the US Gymnastic team in the middle of the team competition, siting mental health issues as the cause.

This Week in Astrology - 26th July until 1st August 2021 – Flexibility

This week begins rather quietly, and there will be no new aspects on either Monday or Tuesday, and it's only in mid-week when the action will begin. This will see Mercury which has been moving through emotional Cancer shift into brash and bold Leo early on Wednesday 28th July. As it does so, it will immediately pick up on an inconjunct aspect to Jupiter, and here we may have an issue of being too forthright for our own good, before suddenly realising that we have rather overstepped the mark. It is possible that we may have to retract what we say, or express our ideas and feelings in more measured terms. Decisions we make in the heat of the moment we may come to regret, and the landscape will change further later on in the day, as Jupiter moves out of Pisces and back into Aquarius. What started out as a good idea, may end up being a total misjudgement, so be prepared to make last minute changes, if needs be. If you are making a trip today, watch out for unexpected delays, or things going wrong en-route.

The news that Prince Harry's memoirs could land him and his wife at least $20 million has gone down like a lead balloon over here in the UK. Apparently Palace officials have indicated that the Royal family have almost resigned themselves to the fact that more allegations and scandal lies in wait for them when the book is finally published next year.

This Week in Astrology - 19th to 25th July 2021 – From the shadows into the light

The week begins with a bit of a jolt, as Mercury in Cancer moves today (19th July) into a testing square to Chiron. This could be a moment where our words or decisions come back to haunt us, and we may have to swallow a large chunk of humble pie. You may be on the end of a sharp rebuke, or instead this may be a time of a learning experience as you start to realise the impact of saying something out of turn has had on someone? Britney Spears – Freedom On The Way? (Update)

Tomorrow the case against the conservatorship of Britney Spears returns to court. As you will be aware, last time the judge ordered that Britney's financial situation (she is worth $50 million) should be administered jointly by her father and a body that Britney approved, the Bessemer Trust. This ruling went against Britney, who wanted to get her father completely removed from control over her financial position. Instead, the judge put in place a compromise, and unsurprising considering the fortune that Britney sits on. The Bessemer Trust has since asked to be removed from the responsibility, leaving her father still in sole control, and so this will continue to be something that she has to contend with. Remember natally, Pluto, the planet of control sits square to her Venus (the planet of money) within her 2nd house of personal finances next to Saturn, so this lock on her money will take a lot of shifting.

This Week In Astrology - 12th until 18th July 2021 – Love Is In The Air

 

There's a warm feeling abut the coming week in the heavens above us, and we start off in a hugely philosophical mood with Mercury in humanistic Cancer making a trine to Jupiter in Pisces. This is a day of huge emotion and joy, both of tears of happiness and disappointment, and whichever side of the coin we find ourselves on, we will be able to learn lessons from all of those feelings surrounding us. There is a wide outreach surrounding the energy today, and we will understand that we can aspire to more and to go further than we have done. Big plans come out of Jupiter trine Mercury.

The New Moon in Cancer on 10th July 2021 - Togetherness

We have just come through a New Moon in Cancer in the early hours this morning, so this is a lunation focused on emotion, caring, compassion and aimed at the circle of loved ones around us. I sense that it will foster a real sense of togetherness. This is also a New Moon where we will be looking to protect and secure what we have achieved not only in a personal sense but also on a wider more national level too. New Moons promote new starts and beginnings and if things have been a little rocky recently, then this new Moon will give a chance to start again, bring forward new initiatives and to make the sacrifices necessary to heal problems of the past.

This Week In Astrology (28th June - 4th July 2021) - Mars Enters The Fray

Good morning everyone. Hope you had a good weekend. During this week in Astrological terms, Mars, the planet of action steps into the spotlight as it enters the realms of the Saturn Uranus square. This then on the face of it looks a tricky week, and it appears to get tougher as it progresses.

Neptune Retrograde – Seeking inner peace

We are just about to experience one of the most subtle and elusive planetary movements, as Neptune turns retrograde until 1st December. Firstly I think that this retrograde works on a very deep unconscious level. Now to make sense of things you have to look at the part of the chart that Neptune is transiting, and then think back to issues surrounding these areas of life. For example, if Neptune is moving in your 6th house, them matters of health, work, routine or service may be ones where you have existing buried fears, especially from the past. Rather than trying to ignore them or trying to hide them away, Neptune retrograde will slowly bring them to the surface, so that you can tackle them head on. In the wider world, look to things that people have buried or hidden, maybe on purpose because of wrong doing, being exposed to the full glare of public scrutiny.

Neptune at the same time may be eroding and dissolving these areas of life, and over time lessening the responsibilities that you have surrounding those fears, so that over a period of time, and I am suggesting several retrograde patterns or years, those concerns are also eradicated. On the outside nothing may be changing to those around you, Neptune always puts up a smoke screen, but you will understand inwardly that a slow weakening or dissolution is actually going on. What Neptune is doing will be cleaning much that is toxic or neglected in your life, so that spiritually you will be more free in the future, however the whole process may be a painful one, as you undergo this ever so slow and laborious journey.

I suggest that Neptune retrograde will be a time that we will be less outward going than the previous 6 months, and that you may at times want to withdraw in, especially surrounding those areas of life that Neptune is affecting, so that these subtle and necessary changes can occur. Coming to terms with what needs to be sacrificed or eradicated in your life so that other areas can be freed up are sometimes difficult choices, but these are ones that we must make so that we can lessen our inner worries, and be able to have more freedom in the future. Sometimes matters will be taken out of our hands completely to let Neptune do its work, and if this is the case, then make peace with everything, and allow the process to start. Letting go of what burdens us to the whims of fate is sometimes the best decision that we can ever make...

Britney Spears – Freedom on the way?

In an empassioned plea to the court, Britney Spears yesterday stated her case to be released from a conservatorship that she has been living under for the past 13 years. She has been effectively controlled by her father because she was judged to be unable to look after herself in the past. Now she has gone to court to get those impositions revoked.
