We have just come through a New Moon in Cancer in the early hours this morning, so this is a lunation focused on emotion, caring, compassion and aimed at the circle of loved ones around us. I sense that it will foster a real sense of togetherness. This is also a New Moon where we will be looking to protect and secure what we have achieved not only in a personal sense but also on a wider more national level too. New Moons promote new starts and beginnings and if things have been a little rocky recently, then this new Moon will give a chance to start again, bring forward new initiatives and to make the sacrifices necessary to heal problems of the past.
On 25th May we will see a New Moon in the versatile sign of Gemini, at 4.46 degrees. Gemini is an air sign, the sign of information and communication, of flexibility, ingenuity and restlessness. Gemini souls are always on the go, and in the same way this New Moon should initiate a flurry of action. The phrase putting too many eggs in one basket is always a phrase I associate with Gemini, and here in lies a danger. Not that you won't act now, of course you will, but will you choose the right course of action, or will you spread your bets so thinly that you won't really be able to target exactly what you want in as focused a manner as you should? There’s a new Moon in Sag tonight - exact at 00:28 hrs in London. New Moons in Sagittarius are about knowledge, wisdom and learning through one's mistakes. Yes Sagittarius is a wonderfully outgoing sign that is very unafraid of taking action then thinking later so anything started now will eventually bare fruit, but it may be a tortuous journey of experimentation, trial and error. It's fun while you are trying out new things though, so enjoy the energy of a new cycle that is being started off now.

We have a new Moon in Virgo forming on the 5th September 2013 and as always New Moon give us the opportunities and the chance to start some new energy into our life. Virgo is a sign of service, of tending to the details, of analysing and cleaning up anything mess or junk that is in our lives, Virgo can’t abide anything that is not in order. This new Moon lights up the Virgo Pisces axis of the sky above us and highlights the small but significant asteroid Chiron.
