We all live and experience cycles because eventually the planets come back to the same or similar parts of the universe in their orbits around our Sun, and in so doing they affect similar regions of our zodiac triggering problems or challenges that we may have seen before. In Britain, we may be start to see a situation that harks to the past developing once again, and the chief protagonist in all this is Uranus.

The Full Moon in Pisces on 21st September – The incomplete truth

We are on the verge of another full Moon, and this one early tomorrow morning (UK time) lands in the sacrificial sign of Pisces. As you will know if you have followed my work or any other reputable astrology writer, the Full Moon is a moment in time when everything comes together and the full extent of a situation is known and revealed. Now I preface that this is normally the case, but in this particular situation and under this full Moon, I am not so sure if the full extent of what is going on will be opened out. The reason is that both Pisces where the Full Moon will be located and its conjunction with Neptune moving in its own sign may cast elements of doubt and will bring a lack of clarity over proceedings. I say may, because with Neptune and Pisces, you never know where the end is, as everything is so open-ended.

Neptune Retrograde – Seeking inner peace

We are just about to experience one of the most subtle and elusive planetary movements, as Neptune turns retrograde until 1st December. Firstly I think that this retrograde works on a very deep unconscious level. Now to make sense of things you have to look at the part of the chart that Neptune is transiting, and then think back to issues surrounding these areas of life. For example, if Neptune is moving in your 6th house, them matters of health, work, routine or service may be ones where you have existing buried fears, especially from the past. Rather than trying to ignore them or trying to hide them away, Neptune retrograde will slowly bring them to the surface, so that you can tackle them head on. In the wider world, look to things that people have buried or hidden, maybe on purpose because of wrong doing, being exposed to the full glare of public scrutiny.

Neptune at the same time may be eroding and dissolving these areas of life, and over time lessening the responsibilities that you have surrounding those fears, so that over a period of time, and I am suggesting several retrograde patterns or years, those concerns are also eradicated. On the outside nothing may be changing to those around you, Neptune always puts up a smoke screen, but you will understand inwardly that a slow weakening or dissolution is actually going on. What Neptune is doing will be cleaning much that is toxic or neglected in your life, so that spiritually you will be more free in the future, however the whole process may be a painful one, as you undergo this ever so slow and laborious journey.

I suggest that Neptune retrograde will be a time that we will be less outward going than the previous 6 months, and that you may at times want to withdraw in, especially surrounding those areas of life that Neptune is affecting, so that these subtle and necessary changes can occur. Coming to terms with what needs to be sacrificed or eradicated in your life so that other areas can be freed up are sometimes difficult choices, but these are ones that we must make so that we can lessen our inner worries, and be able to have more freedom in the future. Sometimes matters will be taken out of our hands completely to let Neptune do its work, and if this is the case, then make peace with everything, and allow the process to start. Letting go of what burdens us to the whims of fate is sometimes the best decision that we can ever make...

The 14th December 2020 Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius – The survival of the fittest

We have a New Moon Solar Eclipse arriving in a few days on the 14th December, landing at 23 degrees Sagittarius. Each eclipse series or family has a different theme associated with it, and this one, the Saros Series 4 South, is very much connected to intense relationship situations or volatile financial issues, very much based around debt, big business, stocks, shares and corporations. This is a South Node eclipse, and these are linked to events that end or fade out, situations that have outlived their usefulness and have to make way for new conditions or fresh starts.

First up, Mercury as you'll probably realise is the fastest of all the the inner planets, and it whizzes through all the connections with the other planets at an incredible rate, sometimes these are very fleeting, lasting maybe one day or even less. That's certainly the case when Mercury is moving at full speed, however when the quicksilver planet slows down before a retrograde period, it is moving much slower, and so its influence on us is much greater.

President Trump, the Impeachment Vote and the year to come..

Whenever a narcissist finds himself (or herself) accused of something that they know that they are guilty or culpable of, every single one I have ever seen and encountered always does the same thing. They go on the attack. They discredit, turn the tables on the accuser, and try to make the victim doubt themselves. Is the narcissist going to admit that he or she in the wrong? No way. Instead they will say it's a scam, a witch hunt and make themselves look like the poor victim. It's a pattern of behaviour that I dare say that you may recognise in someone you know. Never be fooled by it.

Saturn sextile Neptune - Righting the wrongs of the past...

One of the more important aspects of 2019 is now forming, with Saturn in Capricorn closing in on a 60 degree sextile to Neptune. Neptune sits at 14 Pisces, and Saturn is currently at 13 Capricorn. Kevin Spacey – Having to defend himself against lurid allegations.

Kevin Spacey has come into the news after a historical altercation with child actor Anthony Rapp (who was 14 years old at the time of the meeting) leading to an uncalled for sexual advance. Today he made a full and frank apology for his actions, and it also lead the former Oscar winner to admit that he was actually gay.

Neptune unaspected in April 2017 - Blurred lines or distorted ideas

 

From 8th April until the end of the month, Neptune will be unaspected apart from the moments when the transiting Moon makes contact with it. This is quite an unusual event for one planet to be unaspected for such a prolonged period, and this will be especially important to us all as Neptune is moving in his home domain of Pisces. The Moon will make contact with Neptune by opposition on 8th April, a trine on 12th, a square on 15th, sextile on 17th, a conjunction 22nd/23rd, a sextile on 27th and a square on 29th before the Sun starts to make a sextile on 30th April. On all other dates it will be unaspected.

Jeff Sessions - Truth, lies and Russian officials...

 

Good morning everyone. My topic for discussion today is Jeff Sessions, the Attorney General in the US. He is the chief lawmaker for the US and it sounds like before he took office he spoke with a certain Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the US. Yes, this is the same Sergey Kislyak who General Michael Flynn spoke with before he took office, the former National Security Advisor to Trump who was forced to fall on his sword just 26 days after assuming office.

The Jupiter/Neptune/Saturn t-square of April to June 2016

Ok, this is another big astrological theme now developing in the next few weeks, reaching a peak one month from today on 26th May 2016.

We have a Jupiter Neptune opposition that is closing up as Jupiter in Virgo moving retrograde and Neptune in Pisces in direct motion close in on each other. As ever when the planets collide (or oppose as in this case) I return back to Reinhold Ebertin and what he wrote back in 1940. He says that a difficult aspect between these two planets leads to “impressionability, a person easily seduced, dreaminess, conflict between reality and the virtual ideal, a tendency to revel or idolise, a state where one is misunderstood by others, an inclination to speculate and gamble and wastefulness”. In the wider world, Jupiter is the planet of faith, law, learning, international affairs and expansion and Neptune rules the creative world, medical world, oil and gas, drugs, escapism, anything to do with water and the seas, the collective and those who are suffering, and it has a degrading effect on anything it touches.

This is an opposition that in general highlights the more difficult sides of all of these subjects and promotes a lack of discipline. For example, Jupiter and Neptune in opposition is the ultimate “do not gamble aspect” as huge losses can be accrued. Matter of spirituality and faith generally come to the fore and people can get so totally wrapped up in their ideals and beliefs that they fail to realise what is really going on in the world around them. The expansion of drug use, alcohol and illegal behaviour follows this opposition and medical matters and in particular medical spending tends to go through the roof. The influence of unions and collective bargaining organisations also increases and international migrants, refugees and displaced peoples are highlighted. One positive note is for those who are generally creative and/or disruptive and don't live life by the rulebook. They can flourish and expand now and artists and musicians can do well. At the same time this will generally be a time of extremism and terrorism on a much wider scale, and maybe floods and freak weather could occur.

All this mind you will be kept in check by Saturn in Sagittarius, the planet of loss and limitation which squares this opposition. Saturn is restrictive and will try to administrate and keep these expansionist and troublesome Neptunian and Jupiterian tendencies at bay by creating rules and barriers to stop the excess and the lack of organisation and structure engendered by them. In the next two months as this t-square is operative you may see government crackdowns on and crisis points reached with drugs, medical services, terrorism, belief structures, unions and collectives, naval and weather connected incidents, refugees and migrants and the flow of people across borders. This could be an inspirational time for putting dreams into practice as Saturn in square provides the structure and stability to make any creative ideas into reality.

In short, those who have expanded beyond their means or have tried to cut corners will ultimately fail, where as those who have been careful and wise in the use of their resources and have planned sensibly will be able to grow...

France mourns the Charlie Hebdo massacre

Yesterday at about 11.30am in Paris an unspeakable massacre against a satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and the clever and talented people who work in it saw the cold blooded murder of 12 people all in the name of religion. The attack shocked the world and the outrage it provoked has united a nation in support of free speech and the right to comment in the face of violence.

Saturn square Neptune – Gaining strength from our vulnerabilities.

 

I return back to writing after a most difficult end to 2014, a time when I faced a crisis of huge importance in my life. I in the past year have faced head on my vulnerabilities and inadequacies and yet I have found strength out of them. During that most difficult period I experienced a Neptune and Saturn conjunction, and at times I seemed powerless in the face of these two planets. Now after transiting Saturn has passed and that aspect is left behind I feel much stronger and reassured about the future. For all of us, the year 2015 will be dominated by these two planets hooking up in the skies above us in a very tense and difficult looking 90 degree square aspect. These squares come along every 17 to 18 years and much like the Saturn Neptune transit I faced I believe they weaken before resilience and fortitude is eventually found.
