The 14th December 2020 Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius – The survival of the fittest

We have a New Moon Solar Eclipse arriving in a few days on the 14th December, landing at 23 degrees Sagittarius. Each eclipse series or family has a different theme associated with it, and this one, the Saros Series 4 South, is very much connected to intense relationship situations or volatile financial issues, very much based around debt, big business, stocks, shares and corporations. This is a South Node eclipse, and these are linked to events that end or fade out, situations that have outlived their usefulness and have to make way for new conditions or fresh starts.

The EU & UK at a complete impasse over Brexit

So still the talks go on, day after day, disagreement after disagreement. Are the EU & UK flogging a dead horse? Unfortunately, I think so.

Neptune Stations Direct in Pisces - The clouds break, and blue skies appear

We are on the cusp of another one of the planets that went retrograde in the Summer causing the logjam of problems that we have all been sorting through, finally going direct. This time it is Neptune, and it turns in the early hours of tomorrow (29th November 2020) at 00.36 hrs UK time.

The Grand Jupiter & Saturn Conjunction – A New Age Begins

So to the grand conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter on 21st December 2020, the day of the winter solstice at 0 degrees Aquarius. This conjunction has been widely anticipated as it it brings forth the advent of a brand new cycle, as this major conjunction occurs in the air signs for the first time in the best part of 600 years. Just to give you some perspective, the last time these two planets met in the early degrees of Aquarius to start a new cycle or grand conjunctions in air signs was the year 1226. This particular conjunction is likely to be far more significant than that one was, as it lands on the solstice. Jupiter is the great expansive influence in the heavens, as the bringer of wisdom and knowledge. Saturn is the great restrictive influence on us, holding us to account, giving us responsibilities to carry out, and bringing patience when it is sorely needed. This conjunction convenes every 19 to 20 years, as a marker point for the next chapter in the evolution of the world around us. I believe that this particular grand conjunction will mark the beginning of an even greater age - the Age of Aquarius.

The Lunar Eclipse in Gemini on 30th Nov 2020 – Starting On The Road To Recovery

We are heading into eclipse season now and the first of these is going to be a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the duel sign of Gemini. There is always two sides to Gemini, an obvious statement I know, but it bares repeating. The main stars in the constellation of Gemini, the twins of Castor & Pollux are two completely different sides of the same coin. Castor is all sweetness and light, the optimist, the raconteur, full of prose and lyrical words. Pollux is the street-fighter who lives in the shadows, the one who chances his arm, uses force over reason, and is partial to illegal activity rather than going the path of honesty. With Gemini you get the full package, and you never know what you are going to get at any one time either, as Gemini changes like the wind. If you know any Geminis you will know that they can charm the pants off you, but there is also a dark side too. They are perpetually whirring away, they never stop as this is the sign that rules the mind, and their mind never stops to let them relax.

The New Moon in Scorpio on 15th November – Making A Silk Purse Out Of A Sow's Ear

Hello everyone. It's a really busy time astrologically and the next act in the changing times that we are experiencing comes with the Scorpio New Moon tomorrow. Scorpio season is the most polarising one of all, as the battle for survival comes to a conclusion. For any Scorpio, their biggest fear is just this, survival, and any Scorpio will do literally anything to preserve what they have, and for it not to die. Paradoxically, change and rebirth is what any Scorpio absolutely needs, and as fixed and stubborn as they are, without transformation and change they would remain stuck permanently in the past. Scorpio is a water sign too, and so all Scorpios feel this fear deep in their soul, and it creates extreme worry and anxiety. Being a sign of strength though, they will never betray these feelings to anyone except their closest partners, and that is never a given anyway, lest it be a sign of weakness. That would never do for a Scorpio.

A Significant Moment - The Final Chapter Begins

This week is a very, very important one astrologically as for the last time in Capricorn, two of the three planets that have been responsible for so much of the grief and trouble around the world make contact. Also this week, the retrograde nightmare that has been blighting us all since mid Spring ends.

The planets above us now - Opportunity, idealism and danger

Hi everybody. We're in the middle a very interesting set of aspects at this moment in time. First up, Mercury as you'll probably realise is the fastest of all the the inner planets, and it whizzes through all the connections with the other planets at an incredible rate, sometimes these are very fleeting, lasting maybe one day or even less. That's certainly the case when Mercury is moving at full speed, however when the quicksilver planet slows down before a retrograde period, it is moving much slower, and so its influence on us is much greater.

Pluto goes direct - The start of something new...

I've been waiting for this day for months now. Today, well actually this week, as Pluto moves so slowly. The Lord of Transformation finally brings a shift in the overall energy that we are travelling in at around 13.30 GMT today, as it turns direct. The words "power shift" comes to mind, as since mid-late spring, we have been caught up in an almost never ending cycle of retrograde frustration.

New Moon in Aquarius - Ready to go to the stars...

Tomorrow evening (UK time) there is going to be a New Moon in the sign of Aquarius. The water bearer sign is an air sign, it is fixed and is a bit of a contradiction in terms, but if you think about it it makes sense. The glyph of the sign is a stylised river or depiction of water and of course, air contains liquids in the forms of water vapour experienced by us all on earth in the forms of rain, hail and snow, if the atmospheric pressures and temperatures are correct. Those clouds held in the air also can create electricity causing thunder and lightning, synonymous with the sign of Aquarius. Aquarius represents the many, the community, the network and collaborative efforts of like minded people. It is a sign of rebellion, independence, of progression and doing one's own thing. As you will see, this signature New Moon will be incredibly apt in 2020.

Fixed Stars – The astrological meanings of all the most important stars in our night’s sky.

In this huge article, I will run through all the fixed stars that I personally look at on a regular basis and what their meanings are when they are linked up to the planets and angles in our natal astrological charts. The stars above us are much maligned and often overlooked, but they should not be as they offer subtlety, extra meanings and colour to any astrological reading. By looking and taking note of them, they can provide the answers to questions where none may be available through looking just at the planets on the Astrological wheel.

The stars do move very slowly, about 1 degree every 70 years, so you should be able to work out where the stars were when you were born. The degrees I have included are correct for the year 2014. I have listed the stars in zodiac degree order from the ones at the start in the sign of Aries through to the last sign Pisces. I hope you will find this a hugely helpful resource to aid you in your own astrological work. By the way, when it comes to how close the connections have to be in order for them to be effective, I use a very close orb of influence of 1 degree either side of the star.

Australia – The great burn up continues

Watching the awful pictures of the past couple of months out in Australia and the record temperatures being recorded there, it set my mind wondering what is causing the extremes that the Aussie nation is experiencing, especially in Astrological terms. Now we all know about climate change, and that will not be helping things. In the UK where I live there seems to be non stop rain and the river levels are creeping higher and higher. In Australia, the smoke from bush fires are blanking out the sky in Sydney and the city is on constant alert.

Will Boris hasten the break up of the United Kingdom?

Back om the 27th April 2016 I went on record to write this...

“The really powerful aspect starting to form though on the UK chart is transiting Pluto on the way to opposing the UK Moon. The Moon rules the top of the chart, the public face of the UK and this shows a complete transformation in the face of the nation that the world sees. There is definite change coming in the next year or two, and the ramifications of an exit vote for Europe could lead to the entire break up of the United Kingdom. Yes, we are talking a vital decision that could have ramifications of mammoth proportions.

You see, Scotland is very Euro friendly whereas the English seem to be very eurosceptic. There was a vote a couple of years ago where Scotland decided not to break away from the UK, but the question of Scottish independence is still a live one at Holyrood, where the Scottish parliament sits. Pluto opposing the Moon shows a potential change in the population of the UK or even a break up and transformation (Pluto) of the nation and its peoples (Moon). The stakes for the 23rd June vote could not be any higher.”

Now in the light of the election just two days ago, those words are becoming more and more prophetic every minute. The winner of the election, one I also called before it took place was Boris Johnson, and if you start to put his natal horoscope against those of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, the SNP leader and first minister of her nation, and the chart of Northern Ireland, things start to get even clearer about the effect he will have on this union of nations that I live in.

President Trump, the Impeachment Vote and the year to come..

Whenever a narcissist finds himself (or herself) accused of something that they know that they are guilty or culpable of, every single one I have ever seen and encountered always does the same thing. They go on the attack. They discredit, turn the tables on the accuser, and try to make the victim doubt themselves. Is the narcissist going to admit that he or she in the wrong? No way. Instead they will say it's a scam, a witch hunt and make themselves look like the poor victim. It's a pattern of behaviour that I dare say that you may recognise in someone you know. Never be fooled by it.

The Solar Eclipse of 26th December 2019 – Leaving behind the past to build on the future...

The Solar Eclipse on 26th December lands in the early degrees of Capricorn at 4.06 degrees of the sign. This eclipse is a South Node eclipse, and these kinds of ones tend to see the ending and the completion of situations that have been ongoing; issues from the past that have to be settled. There is less of a shock value with events linked to South Node eclipses, as we will have already sown the seeds of the changes that were due to arrive.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez – A young woman who will not be held back...

The youngest and most controversial member of the House of Representatives in Washington DC has a fascinating astrology chart for sure, and in a post last week I mentioned that I would look at her. She is a Sun Libran (born 13th Oct 1989 at 11.50am in the Bronx), her birth time confirmed in the last week by herself through Astrologer Arthur Lipp-Bonewits.

Jair Bolsonaro - The new President elect of Brazil

44798450_1943722552374260_8913018202556989440_n

Hi everyone. Overnight Jair Bolsonaro was elected President of Brazil with a convincing victory in the elections held yesterday. Jair is (just) a Sun sign Aries with his Sun on the cusp of the first sign of the zodiac, therefore it sits on the Aries Point, a place where individuals with personal planets often receive acclaim or notoriety. That Sun sits square to his Nodal Axis, indicating to me that his father wasn't always the one to back and support Jair when he was young.
