New Moon in Aquarius - Ready to go to the stars...

Tomorrow evening (UK time) there is going to be a New Moon in the sign of Aquarius. The water bearer sign is an air sign, it is fixed and is a bit of a contradiction in terms, but if you think about it it makes sense. The glyph of the sign is a stylised river or depiction of water and of course, air contains liquids in the forms of water vapour experienced by us all on earth in the forms of rain, hail and snow, if the atmospheric pressures and temperatures are correct. Those clouds held in the air also can create electricity causing thunder and lightning, synonymous with the sign of Aquarius. Aquarius represents the many, the community, the network and collaborative efforts of like minded people. It is a sign of rebellion, independence, of progression and doing one's own thing. As you will see, this signature New Moon will be incredibly apt in 2020.

New vistas and problems for the Sussex family...

The shock news that came out of the British Royal Family would not have been so much of a surprise for any Astrologer who looks at their Astrology charts. The announcement yesterday that the couple were “demoting themselves” and in effect denouncing their Royal titles to live both in North America and the UK happened on the eve of a Lunar Eclipse that as ever tells the story.

Fixed Stars – The astrological meanings of all the most important stars in our night’s sky.

In this huge article, I will run through all the fixed stars that I personally look at on a regular basis and what their meanings are when they are linked up to the planets and angles in our natal astrological charts. The stars above us are much maligned and often overlooked, but they should not be as they offer subtlety, extra meanings and colour to any astrological reading. By looking and taking note of them, they can provide the answers to questions where none may be available through looking just at the planets on the Astrological wheel.

The stars do move very slowly, about 1 degree every 70 years, so you should be able to work out where the stars were when you were born. The degrees I have included are correct for the year 2014. I have listed the stars in zodiac degree order from the ones at the start in the sign of Aries through to the last sign Pisces. I hope you will find this a hugely helpful resource to aid you in your own astrological work. By the way, when it comes to how close the connections have to be in order for them to be effective, I use a very close orb of influence of 1 degree either side of the star.
