Fixed stars aren't actually fixed!!

andromeda nebula

This is something that may confuse you and I just want to explain to clarify. I do look at fixed stars a lot on Solaris Astrology and I think they are just as vital and important as the planets, indeed the constellations we know get their reputations and meanings from the stars that are placed within and make them up.

As I mentioned fixed stars are not fixed, they do move about 1 degree in relation to the earth every 70 years or so. If you do your sums, then a fixed star will move the 30 degrees of a sign in around 2100 years. That's why the main star in Leo Regulus is now at 1 degree Virgo and Acubens in Cancer that I just wrote about earlier today now sits in the sign of Leo.

This ties quite nicely into the first known appearance of the zodiac as we now know it. The zodiac constellations representing the specific areas of the sky we look at as Astrologers were fixed in position in relation to the movements of the Sun, however the actual constellations on which these were initially based have shifted just over one sign since these positions were designated. Back around 500BC the Babylonians had 18 irregular zodiac signs and these seem to have been paired down to 12 equal sized signs of 30 degrees in or around 50BC when the Dendera zodiac was created. The first known actual depiction of 12 signs in use today can be seen in a bas-relief taken from an Egyptian temple in Dendera. If you are interested, it can be seen on show in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Mars conjunct Acubens – Bringing your plans into fruition.

crab

This aspect comes into force on 17th September 2013 and will last until 20th September at 13:50 degrees Leo.

Acubens is the most prominent star in the constellation of Cancer and is actually a double star placed in the crab’s claw. The position of Acubens has always been important as far back as 2000 years ago when the Sun’s entrance to this constellation heralded the Summer solstice, and the point in the Northern hemisphere when the days began to get shorter in length. The Greeks in their mythological stories said that a crab was sent by Hera (the wife and sister of Zeus) to assist the Hydra who at the time was in a fight to the death with Hercules. Hercules did crush the crab and in thanks for the unselfish act of sacrifice in the face of danger, Hera placed the crab in the heavens. The Egyptians saw the constellation of Cancer as a scarab beetle and a symbol of immortality and this part of the sky was regarded as a gateway of souls where they entered the human realm. So we have the issues of the beginning and ending of life (quite appropriate as this is a double star with a double meaning) all connected here through this one constellation.

A look at the fixed star connections this week – 26th Aug until 2nd Sept 2013

UN Vehicle

You know, as you study the connections of the planets to the stars often a pattern to the major events happening on Earth or the major stories catching the attention of the media can be seen as they occur. Since I have been doing this blog and my Facebook page I hope that you can also see that patterns that I see. This week is already shaping up quite nicely. Let's see if the events in the world will happen as I see them panning out?

Jupiter conjunct Sirius – A time of success and confidence

trophy

This aspect is active from 27th August through until 7th September 2013 – It occurs at 14:16 degrees Cancer

This is a lovely connection that is about to occur. Sirius sitting in Canis Major, the constellation of the great dog as I have mentioned before is the brightest of all the stars in our universe in relation to the earth and is known quite rightly as the shining one or the Scorcher. This star brings a link between one's small acts or deeds that you may carry out in relation to the greater scheme of a project. It can also see you rise to prominence for a short time, the 15 minutes of fame one always talks about. Now if you add in the beneficial and expansive influence of Jupiter, that 15 minutes of fame can extend into something much longer and bigger. Here we have a star of success meeting the planet of opportunity, a fortunate combination in my eyes.

Now we do have to bear in mind that Jupiter can always over extend things and in any project or idea that you have to do now or in any deed you do or action you carry out, this feeling of nothing can go wrong can lead one to be over-confident or just plain complacent. As such, it is important now that you do keep your feet very firmly on terra firma, and if you do then you can achieve some significant achievements during the week and a half that this planet and star are in direct contact. Look to where 14 Cancer is in your own natal chart and here is the key to expansion and where you can find opportunities, unlock some previously closed doors and generally do very well. There is a feel good factor at work, one that you have a chance to engage with and harness for yourself.

Around the world you may see confidence on the up as a result of this connection. Stock markets may rise, international cooperation may happen and the doom and gloom of the financial downturn that the world has been suffering may be relieved for a short while. Expect good news to come out somewhere and I don’t often say this here on Solaris Astrology, so savour it while it lasts.

Mars conjunct Sirius - If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Fire

This aspect is exact from around late tomorrow until 4th August. The precise conjunction occurs at 14:16 degrees Cancer

Oh wow - this is a hot one!! We have Mars the planet of action force and fire conjunct to Sirius in Canis Major, the brightest star in the universe, nicknamed the shining one or the "Scorcher". This star has always had a reputation for being associated with linking humble and selfless personal action which suddenly propels one into the spotlight, or doing something sacred and worthy in making a sacrifice for the betterment of people around you. If you think of the "15 minutes of fame" that many people aspire to, then this star could well be the reason for the phrase as it promises a chance to be in the spotlight like the proverbial shooting star before it quickly fades into the night sky.

Now with Mars conjunct to Sirius and square to Uranus we have an inferno of energy here ready to burst into life. Look out for record temperatures somewhere in the world, maybe wild fires, possibly cases of arson and other unexpected explosive events connected to intense heat. Maybe the actions of someone or a group of people faced with a disaster will propel them into the limelight now?

Mars is a military planet as well as connected to the security forces especially as it is here in Cancer and this link favours direct military action as well as that carried out by the police. I can imagine that political debate may be very sharp and spiky now and any social action could initiate a very swift response.

For you, if you are doing any very focused work, it will be a great time to get excellent results. Passions will rise under this aspect and in relationships this could initiate either good or bad effects, especially as Mars is making a feisty square to Uranus as this hit occurs. It sounds fun of course your relationships are sound but if they are on rocky ground, watch out for flying knives and smashing plates. As I said, it you can't stand the heat...

Mars conjunct Alhena - Leading the way, step by step...

mlk march

This connection is now active and is effective until 28th July 2013

Mars now is conjunct the fixed star Alhena which sits in the constellation of Gemini, the twins. Alhena is known “as the marching one” sitting as it does in the foot of one of the Twins in the constellation and is associated with following a cause or a belief that you are passionate to follow and “march” behind, however it is also connected with the celebrated wounded or Achilles heel, showing a flaw in one's character. Ptolemy is a little more downbeat about this star saying that it is said to cause trouble and disgrace, sickness, loss of fortune, affliction and danger to the knees.

Mars of course is a pro-active influence and you can see the forward nature combined with following a cause producing a time when political and social activism will be extremely visible. It may be that people around the world will shout out and for things and matters that they believe in, and through their actions you will be in no doubt where their loyalties lie.

Mars can provoke violence too and with it conjunct Jupiter and opposing Pluto, I fear that any those does go ahead may have the potential for getting very out of hand. You can already see this influence at work in Egypt now as rival factions are clashing over the future of their country. I hope cooler heads prevail, however I fear that things there might get more heated before they calm down.

In your life, if there is something that you believe in or you have the courage to stand up and follow your heart, then I think you can make great strides ahead in the days and weeks to come...

Mars and Jupiter conjunct Murzims - Having the courage and desire to speak out

scooby doo

This aspect is active now (with Mars) and continues with Jupiter until 2nd August

We have both Mars and Jupiter now conjunct the fixed star Murzims which sits in the constellation of Canis Major, the large dog. This star is nicknamed "the Announcer, as it rises before the great star Sirius, the brightest star in the skies and is connected with carrying a message or having something important that others should hear or read. Ptolemy mentioned that this star gave good qualities, charity and a faithful heart, but violent and dangerous passions.

Mars as you will know is a determined and action based influence and this this is a message that is loud and clear. Here is the truth and the news being proclaimed loud and clear and what is said now may anger people or cause them to be irritated and upset. Indeed in the next three days while this aspect is active you may be more inclined to speak what is on your mind very forthrightly.

Jupiter is more connected with knowledge and wisdom so after the initial outburst we may find ourselves becoming more melancholy, philosophical and wise after the event and this burst of energy. Here we are encouraged to look for connections to religion and faith in the way we are communicating, or to find a more conciliatory manner of putting our message across. This is a time or recording events and putting them down for posterity, for publishing our ideas too. Jupiter of course is the sign of the young Prince and the announcement of the name of the newest member of the British Royal family will go down in the history books for ever more.

For you now, any announcement you can may make, be it shouted from the rooftops, broadcasted or written (maybe in the form of an advertisement) well be worth while, especially as this connection is also linked to the Grand Water Trine in the skies over us connecting to Saturn and Neptune. What we say to the world now can help us to achieve and to solidify our dreams and ambitions.

Jupiter conjunct Polaris – Setting off on a new journey

Looking at the stars

This conjunction is valid from today until 24th June 2013

Jupiter is now moving closer to the pole star Polaris which sits high in the night sky in the constellation of Ursa Minor, the little bear. Polaris has always been used by explorers as a star by which they find their way and this is exactly the effect it has on any planet, in finding a route or setting a path. The path set here is one of expansion, of embracing different cultures, new faiths and ideas and of learning, of going on a journey and not worrying about the consequences of the challenge and the quest as reaching your goal outweighs the potential pitfalls that may lie along the way.

Jupiter is the planet of law and maybe new agreements and statutes agreed under this aspect will pioneer a new direction and attitudes. In a way this is an entrepreneurial aspect, representative of the businessman who wants to start up a new enterprise, the man who is full of innovation and has optimism and hope on his side.

I think you might see a slightly bolder and brave attitude within leaders and their handling of difficult and troubling problems around the world. The G8 summit in Northern Ireland starting on Monday may see the world’s leaders in a bullish mood willing to tackle issues together that normally would lead to inertia and fudge.

With you and your life, if you have plan for your future or you want to achieve something big, see if you can start putting some ideas together now as Jupiter conjunct Polaris sets a marker point down to go on a journey and to follow that distant star. The conjunction will start to initiate the grand trine in the night skies above us with Neptune and Saturn, so this aspect really can expand your life in the next month or so and finally long held ambitions can be seized and acted upon. I would wait until Saturn moves direct from 8th July before really moving forward and putting ideas into action though.

All in all, this is a lovely positive position for Jupiter, a signpost on the way ahead as he heads for the sign of Cancer and the start of a spectacular Astrological summer to come.

Venus conjunct Sirius - A chance for some diplomacy but a threat remains.

canis major 1

This connection is starting to take hold and is in effect up until 15th June 2013

A couple of days ago Mercury rolled over the fixed star Sirius in Canis Minor, the constellation of the great dog. Now it is time for Venus to do the same. As I explained before, Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky and has always been seen as a place where the mundane can suddenly be transformed for a brief time into the extraordinary for the world to see.

The soothing, loving effect of Venus will now hold this spot in the sky for a couple of days on the back of her making an intense t-square with first Pluto and then Uranus, one within which relationships will have been strained to their limits. Venus if nothing else is a planet of diplomacy as well as of love, mainly through the influence of Libra who she rules which wants peace and fairness at all costs. This can instil a more calming influence over tense situations and hopefully settle some disputes that have been bubbling and boiling over the last few days.

There is a catch though and I think this applies especially to the on-going situation in Turkey. Mars is still going to be connected to Aldebaran during this time too and so we potentially have a double edged sword being shown. Take the peaceful hand of conciliation being offered (Venus conjunct Sirius) or take the consequences of more violent action (Mars conjunct Aldebaran) if you don't.

Outside this crisis, Venus conjunct to Sirius shows a chance for great creativity, art and beauty to be produced and for lots of love to be shown. Robson says this conjunction indicates ease, comfort and luxury, extravagance and gain by inheritance. Let's hope that these kinds of qualities can win the day...

Mars conjunct Aldebaran - A rise of aggression

bull

This aspect starts to kick in tomorrow and is active until 15th June

In the next day or so, Mars moves in to conjunct with one of the Royal Persian stars, Aldebaran, the “Watcher of the East” sitting in the eye of the bull in the constellation of Taurus. All royal stars promise success however with Royal Persian stars there is always a test to make sure that you are held true to your values and if you fail it then all your gains will be lost. With Aldebaran, this test is one of your ethical integrity. If you are not honest in your endeavours, then you will lose everything you have and you will come crashing down to earth.

Mars as you will know is the planet of action, aggression and violence, and also of the police and the military and it is possible that we will see a proliferation of force in the light of this connection. Robson says of this conjunction the it favours military action but attended by much danger and there is possibility of accidents too. Those who order such action will be judged by Aldebaran now, and if their actions are not ethical, then they will be due heavy retribution somewhere down the tracks.

This connection can help you to move forward in your life and take decisive action but make sure that all that you do is honest and in done in the right way.

Mercury conjunct Canopus - Lines of communication are broken

Argo

This aspect is valid today 11th June and into tomorrow 12th June

Mercury as it starts to slow is in a very interesting part of the sky. Yesterday and today it is in connection with Sirius and now it connects with the fixed star Canopus, the star in the constellation Carinae, the Keel, which forms a part of the great southern ship of the skies, the Argo.

The keel of a ship is the part which determines the direction it will go in. Canopus as suggests from this description was known as the navigator by the Egyptians. Canopus is also connected to the concept of time as well as leadership in a dominant manner and having the control to destroy anything that one creates.

Now with Mercury making the connection the issues of communication comes again to the fore. Canopus and Mercury can put forward strong ideas and opinions, but the nature of this star is quite harsh and controls on what is allowed to be said. This leads me to think of controls on the press, on the media and of censorship in general.

There are two big stories going around which I have touched on recently and both again are implicated by this conjunction. The Edward Snowden story is an obvious one which I looked at briefly on my Facebook page yesterday. We had the controversial announcement and revelations about US authorities intercepting and storing internet and phone information as Mercury approached Sirius and now we have the controls clamped down again as the truth gets out.

In Turkey, the protestations over the way the country is governed are continuing and now the police and authorities are back on the streets this morning with a heavy handed approach trying to take back parts of Istanbul and Ankara which were taken over by protesters. I also here that Facebook and other social media may be banned in that country to stop the flow of information, absolutely in line with this planet star connection. We have aggressive Mars starting to approach the stars of Taurus now, and this may inflame things a little more as direct action becomes more prevalent.

Mercury conjunct Sirius - An important announcement

canis major 1

This aspect is valid today 10th June and tomorrow 11th June 2013

Mercury today connects with one of the great stars of the skies, Sirius, the dog Star sitting in the constellation of Canis Major. Sirius is the the brightest star in the heavens, often known as the "Shining One" of the "Scorcher", the one who burns.

Mercury's connection brings the quality of communication and language to this star, be it written or spoken and maybe something which is said now will hit the headlines around the world, or the ramifications of an agreement will have repercussions and a very significant effect. This is the start of the retrograde shadow for Mercury and it is possible that anything said or agreed now will come into effect when Mercury stations and turns direct on this spot on 21st July...

Uranus conjunct Alderamin – A sudden change of at the top of society

chess kings

This aspect will be valid from now until 23rd August 2013

Uranus has been out of range of any fixed star for at least a year, but now as it moves onto 12 degrees Aries, it start to make a conjunction with the star Alderamin, the star in the constellation of Cepheus, the King. This is a lovely constellation and star that promotes a balance of male and female and seeing harmony on earth and in nature. This is a gentle and yet strong star, determined on one's goals but not aggressively so. Ptolemy said of this star that it had the influence of Saturn and Jupiter, strong and wise but also sober and those under it’s influence would be able wield authority in the manner of a judge or arbitrator.

Now with Uranus making a square to Pluto while making this connection, I think we will see transformation under this influence. Over the year or so that I have been looking at these fixed star aspects, there seems to be a lot of symbolism which occurs, especially when an outer planet connects with a fixed star. Here the symbolism is of male kings and rulers.

I think this transformation will see the sudden removal of people, quite possibly men in power who have been making rules and laying down the law in the form of a king. It is also a possibility that we may see the passing of notable people and those who did act in a harmonious, strong and gentle manner. I can think of four people who fit the bill at the moment. President Assad in Syria still holds on in his position faced by civil unrest and revolution and Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Turkey now has serious opposition to his authoritarian way of ruling in his own country. Also two more gentle and notable men in the world are faced by health problems and this conjunction could have an effect on them. The Duke of Edinburgh has been having health problems and so has South African legendary leader Nelson Mandela.

Uranus is also a social aspect and so under this conjunction and this square we may see a rise in people coming out onto the streets in either peaceful or more violent ways to push for change in common values and social causes, again I think of the situation in Turkey which has arisen recently and the way the people have remained generally joyous and peaceful in protest rather than being openly violent.

In your life, it change needs to be made, then you can use this conjunction to make it in the most acceptable manner you can, using strength and force of argument rather than having to resort to using more shocking and unacceptable means.

New Moon in Gemini hits fixed star Rigel

Moon

The new Moon at 17 Gemini today made a direct conjunction with the fixed star Rigel. This star sits on the foot of Orion the hunter, as well as being the last star in the constellation of Eridanus, the river. The ancient story goes that Orion was charged with killing all of the beasts on earth, however for his brazen and rather arrogant attitude, the goddess of the earth Gaia sent the scorpion to sting Orion which it did on his foot (or heel) poisoning him to death.

This is a star that does promise a constant flow of riches and achievements that the waters of the river provide you. It encourages a positive attitude too, especially in spreading knowledge, through one’s actions, examples or ideas, through education and teaching or through the spread of one’s faith for the benefit of others. However, there is a catch. As in the story, there is a chance that you may get over confident of achieving success, and as a result suffer a similar fate as Orion did.

The New Moon here I think was a real boost to us all and probably one of the more positive influences we have had in a while, so if you get projects, ideas and situations or even relationships off the ground now combined with the wonderful energy of the grand water trine we are under, then I think they have a great chance of long term success, so long as you remain sensible and not too over-optimistic.

Jupiter conjunct Capella – Encountering new experiences and being bold

Chariot race

This aspect is active now and is valid until 26th May 2013

There will be a feeling of adventure and boldness that accompanies this aspect as it starts to close in over the next few days. Capella is the main star in the constellation of Auriga, the charioteer. This is a star is very much associated with two Greek goddesses, firstly Artemis who was the goddess of the hunt and Diana who was the goddess of the Moon, birthing and the woodland animals and creatures. This is a star of freedom and of movement and of the love of the chase. This is not an aggressive star and it promotes independence and the right to do as one wishes.

Jupiter making contact with this star brings expansion, a feeling of experimentation, a need for justice and also a devil may care attitude. If you have been feeling that you want to break free and try something new, then under this influence you can do just that. Even more importantly, this aspect is almost at the time of the Uranus Pluto square being exact too and within this Uranus is the planet moving forward so rebellion and a fresh way of looking at situations and the potential to moving things forward is very strong.

The issue of one’s freedom against one’s existing personal commitments is a theme that may well be very large in many of you reading this post. To solve this dilemma, you can get things really moving now and impetus is here in huge amounts so that you can push ahead in a new direction, if you have the desire and the will to make it happen. Be brave, be bold and grab the opportunity while it exists in the skies above us…

Venus conjunct Hamal and Schedar - Taking a step forward, eventually.

ram

This connection is valid now and through until Monday 22nd April

Venus now in Taurus now is encountering two very positive stars, Hamal, the main star in the constellation of Aries, the Ram and Schedar, the main star in the constellation of Cassiopeia, the Queen of the night skies. Hamal is a brave influence and strong willed too, bold and wanting to take on any challenge. Here we experience the ability to be direct, however any blockage working against this star can cause frustration and anger. Schedar is a royal influence and shows female strength, dignity, honour and wisdom.

In relationships and in any creative venture, i think that these two influences bring a straight forward attitude, the ability to show some individualism and not to worry too much about the consequences of one's actions. This is normally a time of moving forward, making acquaintances maybe with strong women or for those of you reading this who are female, this I think is a particularly good time to take the initiative in your lives. If you are helping anyone now, then you will be able to do so with strength and compassion and to give them your full support.
It is very interesting that Venus in making these connections makes an opposition to Saturn and a trine to Pluto.

Might any association you make now, any creative work you come up or any financial plans you submit be blocked or at least prevented in some way? If so try not to let those negative tendencies of frustration and irritability take over as Saturn's role here is to make you think twice before making a correct decision. Then again, this could indicate encounters with people or taking ideas from people are significantly younger or older than you are. The connection to Pluto could suggest associations or connections with people in power or control, matters of sharing or intimacy or experiences that may transform you in some manner?

All in all and despite that Saturn opposition, I think it is worth using the positivity on offer here, as the people you encounter may allow you to move on and make some significant changes in your position, maybe after a quick review of what is on offer.

Sun and Mars conjunct Al Rescha - Taking different views to come to a conclusion

Pisces 1

This aspect is in force now and will be valid until 20th April 2013

Fast on the back of Venus hitting the star of Al Rescha now it is the turn of Mars and the Sun to get this spot in the sky. I mentioned in my previous post a few days ago about this star being a knot in the tails of the fish in Pisces, two fish swimming in opposite directions. In these connections Mars dictates action and force and the Sun represents our life force being torn by a conundrum we face or maybe a person who split ideas, views and opinions.

This is a spiritual star and surely it can be no coincidence that the funeral and fiery cremation of Baroness Thatcher comes as these planets and stars come together. A military funeral showing the presence of Mars, she was one who never stepped back from taking action, of taking a decisive path. She was also one who divided opinion in the UK like never before, many supported her but many despised her.

In the world elsewhere, we may see people expressing different ideas and certain people in the spotlight now may divide opinions too. We are in a time of debate, of looking inward at our lives and at the pros and cons of the position that we find ourselves in, of assessing our options and ultimately being forced to bring everything together to come to a resolution.

Venus Conjunct Al Rescha - Tying things and people together

Pisces 1

This aspect is active tomorrow 14th April and active until 16th April

Venus is now coming to meet up with the main star in the constellation of Pisces, the constellation of the fishes. If you don't know, Pisces as a constellation has two fishes swimming in the night skies in opposite directions. Al Rescha (sometimes called Al Rischa) is a star representing the knot in their tails, the only thing that ties these two fish together. If you think of Pisces as a sign, then going off in all directions and not having a single common purpose is a real theme of Piscean people, it is very difficult to hold them down for any amount of time, reflecting the scene in the skies. Pisces is of course linked to water and also Christianity, we all know of the story of Jesus and the loaves and the fishes. In Christianity and Catholicism, marriage is a vital theme, of the love between a man and a woman making a commitment to each other, of tying the knot. The Pope as the signal of his authority over the Roman Catholic church wear's his seal on his fingers, the Fisherman's ring.

Al Rescha as a star reflects the tying of the knot and of holding disparate themes together and bringing them as one. This can be effective in combining different types of knowledge to create wisdom, or it can be through relationships, bringing two different people into a relationship to form a common bond between them. Through Al Rescha then we can open out our minds exposing ourselves to new concepts and people and thus make our lives and understanding more complete.

Venus connecting with this star brings the idea of relationships closer to home, of bringing differing social ideas under a common banner, of uniting people or even nations who may have seen things in very different ways in the name of diplomacy and peace. This can also be a factor in the financial world as a greater understanding of the problems of money and financial problems may come out of people meeting and talking.
In your own lives, will this influence bring you closer together to someone who you might not have thought was suitable for you? Will you see someone in a different light now? Will this unifying force heal some wounds or suffering that you are facing?

Let the gentle harmonizing influence of Venus conjunct Al Rescha wash over the infections that exist in your life allowing compassion to flow and opening us up to the most ideal and beautiful kind of love imaginable...

Mars Conjunct Alpheratz - Taking a chance

Evel Knievel

This aspect is in orb now and operational for the next 3 days until 1st April.

Mars in now in range in the the star Alpheratz in the constellation of Andromeda, the Princess. This star used to be part of the constellation of Pegasus and it still retains the same kind of attributes that we find in the stars of that constellation, namely freedom and movement and the sheer thrill of flying along at great speed, this is a star of action!!

Mars getting here brings a very brave reckless influence of a star that knows no fear, and so the possibility of doing something very dangerous or foolhardy in increased immensely. This combination is likely to instill a love of risk taking, taking on challenges and taking your life into your hands for the sheer buzz of the experience. In my estimation, this combination when it happens is like the Evel Knievel of the solar system.

Just on cue in North Korea, Kim Jon Un has decided in a crazy move to put his troops and forces on the highest alert in preparedness to fire rockets at the United States!! Is he totally mad, or is it this conjunction and influence that is giving the young North Korean leader the impetus to take a huge, huge risk?

Sun and Venus conjunct Scheat - A brave new dawn is coming.

Pegasus

These connections are valid now and in the next 2-3 days until 22nd March

The Sun and Venus give me a good excuse to get out my picture of Pegasus the winged horse again, as this star sits where the saddle would be on his back. As I mentioned last time, Scheat is a star of intellect, of free though and actions and anyone who has a direct connection with this star will be independent and brave, unafraid of speaking their mind and communicating what they see as the truth.

The Sun here indicates a time when people speak their minds and will be very forthright. No mincing of words or hiding things under a veil of secrecy, there is a direct honesty here which will be refreshing seeing as Mercury has been in conjunction with Neptune and Deneb Adige, clouding issues and playing games with the what is right and what is wrong. Finally we can cut through much of the uncertainty and get to what is important.

Venus brings a more social and creative side to the power of Scheat. This promotes innovative design, a more direct approach to forming relationships, in essence the opposite person or party will make it quite clear where they stand and what they expect from you. This is an aspect of the alternative cutting edge artist, the one who goes out on a limb to shock and surprise. Under this influence we can see social change and generally accepted ideas being challenged.

In the next couple of days as the Sun and Venus connect with this star, they also enter the sign of Aries. We are about to enter a time when the playing around stops and the action begins. Let's get it on...
