China - Protests on the rise in Hong Kong, but will they succeed?

hong-kong

A little mundane Astrology for you this morning just to show that I am still doing it. Overnight there have been stand-offs and chaos in Hong Kong as pro-democracy protesters stand up against Chinese government policy to vet every candidate for the coming elections in 2017. Effectively the Chinese want to control who can stand for office, whereas many of the people in Hong Kong want free and fair elections.

The Grand Fire Trine of October 2014 – Jump in the rocket and reach for the stars

rocket to the stars

Just starting to form above us is one of the most enthusing and exciting planetary formations in 2014, a grand fire trine of rather epic proportions. Grand trines see three or more planets spaced 120 or so degrees apart in the sky and the angles that they make allow the planetary energies to flow more than any other formation that is possible. This grand trine is occurring in the three fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius so we should look out for dramatic and dynamic action in the next 2 to 3 weeks to come.

new moon libra

Another new Moon arrives on Wednesday this week, the last one before the Autumnal eclipse season begins. Any new Moon can give us the chance for a fresh start to things, an opportunity to place down a marker for the future and to set out our some of our intentions for the coming months. This new Moon lands in the sign of relationships, balance and equality, Libra.

Tennis US Open Men's Final 2014 - Who is gonna win, Marin Cilic or Kei Nishikori?

Cilic 1

I has a look at Kei Nishikori yesterday and today I look at the potential fortunes of Marin Cilic, the conqueror or Roger Federer in the 2nd semi final. He is a Libran, born 28 Sept 1988 in Medjugorie, Bosnia (no birth time). Anyone born in that part of the world had a tough upbringing in the 90's with war raging all around in the 90's and his chart is quite a challenging one. Despite all this, he has the battled through to make it to the pinnacle of the Men’s tennis circuit, and for that he deserves great credit.
