The news dominating the the UK may be about the Olympics, but had this celebration of sport was not going on, then Nick Clegg’s announcement that his own House of Lords reform bill was “dead in the water and that the Conservatives had broken the coalition contract” would sound alarm bells ringing in the UK media and in the government parties. This is the one piece of legislation that the Liberal Democrats, partners to David Cameron’s Conservative party, have been pinning their hopes on to prove their worth. Now it will not happen, what is left for the Liberals to achieve? Will the disgust of the rank and file members of the Liberal Democrats put severe pressure on Nick Clegg to pull away for the coalition agreement, or ask him to derail future Conservative proposals threatening the viability of the partnership? The astrology shows the government are now in a very tricky spot.

Curiosity Mars mission a triumph for NASA
I’ve been away from Solaris Astrology for a bit taking a bit of an Olympics break. Everyone needs to recharge their batteries and the games here in London so far have been a triumph. So too was the successful landing for NASA for “Curiosity”, a mission to land a vehicle the size of a small car on Mars. Curiosity is the most technically advanced rover ever to be sent to one of our neighbouring planets and landed on schedule in the middle of the Gale Crater on the red planet. It’s mission over the next few years will be to search for the signs the Mars previously supported or can support life.

Huge underground water supply found under the deserts of Namibia.
I love astrology!! From my last post where in China they are having too much water and rain falling on them causing floods to this story from the deserts of Namibia. Scientists have found a huge underground store of water, such a precious commodity in dry countries sitting deep under the Northern Namibian desert. Apparently there is so much sitting there in this aquifer, that it could supply the north of the country for 400 years!!
China – Beijing deluged by worst floods for 60 years
In Beijing, the Chinese capital has been experiencing the worst rainfall in 60 years causing flash floods, wide scale damage and several people have been killed. According to the BBC roof collapses, lightning strikes and electrocution from downed power lines were among the causes of the deaths. If you look at the Chinese natal chart, this situation can be clearly seen.
