Libya - tearing itself apart through fractional fighting.

Libya1x

While the eyes of the world have been on flight MH17, Ukraine, Israel and the Gaza strip, in Northern Africa, civil war threatens to tear the country of Libya formally ruled by Colonel Qaddafi to pieces. The situation is so dangerous that the British foreign office have told all Britons to leave the North African nation and the Americans recently pulled their people out too.

Air Algérie loses contact with one of it’s aircraft, AH5017.

air-algérie

Another airplane disappears. The BBC are saying that Air Algérie have lost contact with one of their aircraft over Mali in Western Africa. The flight from aircraft from Ouagadougou to Algiers carrying 116 passengers and crew vanished 50 minutes into the flight. This is the third passenger aircraft to have a serious incident in the past week or so. Firstly we had MH17, then a TransAsia Airways crash claimed the lives of 48 people yesterday in Taiwan, and now I hear this news. What is causing this rash of air incidents and tragedies?

Deadly Ebola virus spreading in West Africa at a rapid rate.

ebola virus

There is a disturbing situation starting to take hold in Western Africa and looking at the Astrology it is even more perilous. The deadly Ebola virus that can kill up to 90% of all the victims that catch it is spreading at an “unprecedented” rate according  to Médecins Sans Frontières. As I write there is no vaccine for Ebola and thus no cure. The outbreak began recently in Guinea, but it has also been seen in Liberia as well. There have been 5 suspected cases in Sierra Leone and Senegal as a precaution has shut it’s land border. This is a very, very infectious disease and with life in that part of the world being more and more interconnected between West African nations, we could be seeing the seeds of a very nasty situation starting to develop.

Ethnic tensions plague South Sudan

South Sudan

Back to the Astrology, I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas. I have been saying that the dangerous degrees on any chart at the moment are 10-12 degrees of most signs as they are in range of Pluto, Uranus and Mars which is starting to slow a little now and this leads me onto the country of South Sudan.

Kenya - Terror at a Nairobi shopping mall

nairobi shopping mall

Over the weekend, a horrendous attack by the Al Shabaab militant group on the Westgate shipping mall in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, claimed the lives of 62 people, 175 were injured and several of the group are still in the centre holding hostages, surrounded by the Kenyan military forces. Reports indicated that the attack is in retaliation for Kenya’s intervention in the war in Somalia. Al Shabaab have a fearsome reputation and it is unlikely that this tense situation will end without more blood being spilt.

Algeria – Gas plant hostage crisis raises the stakes in sub Saharan Africa

Gas Compession plant

Now, who saw this one coming? At an Algerian gas compression plant in In Amanas, up to 41 Western hostages have been taken in apparent retaliation for the French using Algerian air space during air raids in neighbouring Mali, which have also been supported by Britain. The plant is jointly owned by Norway’s Statoil and British Petroleum and there are reports that a group allied to Al Qaida have been implicated. It seems from a story emanating from Algerian media that gunmen on 10 large trucks stormed the plant to take the hostages. If you look at the Algerian national chart, one can immediately see this situation developing.

Huge underground water supply found under the deserts of Namibia.

Namibia

I love astrology!! From my last post where in China they are having too much water and rain falling on them causing floods to this story from the deserts of Namibia. Scientists have found a huge underground store of water, such a precious commodity in dry countries sitting deep under the Northern Namibian desert. Apparently there is so much sitting there in this aquifer, that it could supply the north of the country for 400 years!!
