Mars conjunct Acubens – Bringing your plans into fruition.

crab

This aspect comes into force on 17th September 2013 and will last until 20th September at 13:50 degrees Leo.

Acubens is the most prominent star in the constellation of Cancer and is actually a double star placed in the crab’s claw. The position of Acubens has always been important as far back as 2000 years ago when the Sun’s entrance to this constellation heralded the Summer solstice, and the point in the Northern hemisphere when the days began to get shorter in length. The Greeks in their mythological stories said that a crab was sent by Hera (the wife and sister of Zeus) to assist the Hydra who at the time was in a fight to the death with Hercules. Hercules did crush the crab and in thanks for the unselfish act of sacrifice in the face of danger, Hera placed the crab in the heavens. The Egyptians saw the constellation of Cancer as a scarab beetle and a symbol of immortality and this part of the sky was regarded as a gateway of souls where they entered the human realm. So we have the issues of the beginning and ending of life (quite appropriate as this is a double star with a double meaning) all connected here through this one constellation.

Floyd Mayweather Jnr – A man of grace and brutality.

Mayweather

In the world of boxing at this moment in time, the pound of pound best fighter on the planet just has to be Floyd Mayweather Jnr. He is unbeaten, and at 36 is still almost impossible to hit. This weekend in Las Vegas he stands to earn an incredible $41.5 million dollars for his fight against Saul Alvarez. If it goes the full 12 rounds he will still be earning more than $1 million a minute. Floyd is an incredible character with some incredible habits but he knows the bottom line is winning and so despite some strange and outlandish behaviour, come fight night, the ultimate professional will step into the ring.

Russia steals a march on Washington over Syrian crisis.

obama putin

In the diplomatic wrangling over what to do with Assad and Syria, Russia has seemingly taken the lead in the crisis by offering a diplomatic solution in getting Syria to give up all their chemical weapons, outflanking Barack Obama’s initial threat of military action. This has made Obama and America look weak and very ineffective as they backtracked from their stated position and handed the initiative to Russia and Vladimir Putin. In Moscow, they must be toasting the vodka in a diplomatic job well done, where as the recriminations in Washington and the blame games will start. Russia’s power and control of the situation can easily be seen if you have a look at transiting planets against their chart.

Bryan Cranston – From dysfunctional Dad to award winning, chemistry teaching, meth cooking drug lord.

Bryan Cranston

Iconic and a cult figure. These are the most appropriate words I can think of describing Walter White, the high school chemistry teacher come meth cooking drug lord that actor Bryan Cranston portrays so brilliantly in the hit TV series “Breaking Bad”. After a run of 5 years of critically acclaimed success including winning best actor at the Emmys three years in a row, the show finally reaches a hopefully dramatic and spectacular conclusion at the end of September this year. There are millions of people around the world who will be on the edge of their seats waiting in anticipation for the final instalments. Bryan of course has been a well known actor way before Breaking Bad notably having played Hal in “Malcolm in the Middle” a highly praised sitcom that lasted for a run of 6 years.
