Alan Henning – Humanitarian taxi driver brutally executed by ISIS

 

I wake this morning to the shocking and truly appalling news that British taxi driver and humanitarian Alan Henning has been brutally beheaded by ISIS. Words cannot describe how devastated I felt when the news came through, as this was a man who was just 13 days younger than myself, a fellow Leo born in 1967 who did what I do, help people in trouble and who needed guidance, assistance or aid. Off his own back, he sacrificed his own Christmas in December this year to drive all the way to Syria in a van packed full of humanitarian aid as part of a convoy with a group of Muslim friends. His motivation was just to assist the sufferers of the civil war there and give them basic supplies and food. He had been inside Syria just a matter of minutes when he was abducted.

Ebola Virus Crisis – Five cases an hour in Sierra Leone, and now it arrives in the United States.

 

As you’ll know if you read Solaris Astrology on a regular basis, I put a warning out on 1st April this year that the Ebola Virus outbreak in Guinea could be the start of something rather nasty, you can read my initial article here -  Deadly Ebola virus spreading in West Africa at a rapid rate. I traced back the history of the virus to the initial reported cases, there were two simultaneous ones actually in Africa but the current crisis is connected to the Yambuku River outbreak discovered on 26th August 1976 in Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo. The virus is seems is harvested in fruit bats, which in that part of the world is a local delicacy. Now the virus rampaging through several countries in Western Africa has seen it’s first confirmed case in the the United States. The Astrology to say the least is worrying.

Is the American dream coming to an end?

 

I have been seeing signs from this side of the pond in the UK in the past few weeks that the wonderful optimistic feeling that has always characterized the prevailing attitude in the United States is crumbling, the belief of the great American dream is being openly questioned. Years ago a website called endoftheamericandream.com would never have existed, but it does now. America is suffering on the back of one of the nastiest and vicious economic downturns in it’s history, Americans are war weary and fed up of their boys and girls flying off to the Middle East and not returning home, Americans see gas prices rising, see once great companies failing, see poverty rife and hope drifting away. More than anything, the days of being able to get to great heights from a humble background are long gone. To make money, you have to have money or be born into it. To get into power, you have to have raise millions and millions to even get your voice heard. What’s all this got to do with Astrology? A lot.

The Lunar Eclipse of October 2014 – The great clear out begins…

 

It’s eclipse time again folks!! It seems only yesterday that we were experiencing the spring ones early this year, and now in just over a week’s time the autumnal ones are coming along. You will remember the last Lunar eclipse very clearly I suspect, it was a quite brutal one based around a very severe cardinal cross. This one again sees the outer planets of Pluto and especially Uranus playing a very potent role in the energy that will shape much of our world for the next few months.
