The Scorpio New Moon of 7th November 2018 - The turning of the page...

Autumn

We have a new Moon arriving tomorrow in the sign of Scorpio. The sign of the Scorpio as you will be aware is a sign of terminal change, and this time of year is one of life and death and the growth of the spring and summer dies off, the leaves fall and decay and the natural world starts to shut down for the harshness of winter to arrive. Any New Moon is a beginning of a new cycle, and they are connected with fresh starts and opportunities to set a new course, and as this one occurs, there is a definite feeling that a shift of emphasis is occurring.

So what do we have here? The New Moon will form at 15.11 degrees Scorpio, and if you follow my work you will know that this is a very specific degree point. The 15 degree mark of any fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius) is a special one as it signals the exact midway point between the solstices and the equinoxes. This fixed point is one where amazing things happen, and one can beat the odds stacked against you, in good and bad ways. With any planet here there can be startling coincidences, lucky breaks and the impossible can be literally be achieved.

Let’s put this together. This Scorpio New Moon may see the ending of old situations and things we know being wiped out incredibly quickly, and new energy will rapidly take its place. Scorpio is a brutal sign, there is no “maybe or perhaps” here, and so I sense that there is a distinct turning of the page coming, and what we have known in the past weeks and months will suddenly have to face up to new realities. A new rulebook in our lives is about to be written.

Just to back this up, this New Moon is going to be sextile to Pluto and trine to Neptune. Pluto rules the sign of Scorpio, so there is definite harmony here in this link up to transform, wipe out and change. There is a feeling of big power and control being affected through this New Moon, of secrets being created, or being unearthed. The New Moon is also linked up to Neptune in Pisces through a trine. Now Neptune is quite powerful at the moment as it is slowing before turning direct in the next couple of weeks, so there is a spiritual feel from this New Moon, and also one where our imaginations are being stimulated. Neptune works differently to change perceptions, almost lulling us into a false sense of security before unleashing chaos and disintegration on us. We may be in a daze as everything falls apart. To get through a Neptunian hit we have to let go, and then go with the flow. We have to divest ourselves of power and material desires, make sacrifices and surrender to our fate. Out of this process we start to see the light, and start to appreciate a softer, gentler universal kind of love.

Do you see what I am suggesting here? This is a New Moon of collective awareness, of starting the process of pulling power back into the hands of the majority, of those who have been suffering at the hands of individuals who would try to have power and control over us. You know, I think that this world around us has got out of balance, and the amount of hate, division and cynicism is infecting us all. This New Moon gives us a chance to start to rectify this.

Now as this New Moon arrives, the Nodal axis is on the cusp of the Leo and Aquarius axis ready to move into Cancer and Capricorn. Here is the turning of the page I mentioned earlier, occurring in the hours after the New Moon forms. The North Node into Cancer sees the emphasis in the heavens shift from the showmanship and bombastic feel of Leo to the gentler, more emotional and security conscious sign of the Crab. As I mentioned in a previous post, this shift will emphasise the needs of the female population much more, focusing on the family, the home and what we need to live. This is a sign of caring, and this New Moon prompts us to change our perspectives and priorities. We will require healing and a more gentle soothing atmosphere in the weeks and months to come.

Furthermore, Jupiter is about to change signs into its home sign of Sagittarius. This is a place of expansion but also faith, wisdom, knowledge and the higher law. Jupiter is generous, liberal, accommodating and a sign of culture and diversity. We will have to take more notice of these qualities in the next year, as the expansion of brutal power and control with Jupiter in Scorpio comes to an end. Justice is more likely to be served now, and with it optimism will return to us all.

You know, there is so much going on at this New Moon. Uranus will be about to regress back into Aries again until we get to Spring next year, and the need for active change and rebellion will return for a while. Venus now back in Libra is opposite to Uranus, and she will be turning direct in the next week and a half, another turning point to come. Because of this opposition, relationships and alliances will be unstable, and our values may be shifted and changed. Venus is the planet of peace, and to achieve peace, we may have to rock the boat first!! Venus is also making a trine to Mars in Aquarius, a passionate trine that impels us to act in a unique way to bring harmony and love into our lives.

This is going to be a very dynamic New Moon pointing the way for a brand new start, and maybe more importantly it brings with it one of those seminal moments that will allow humanity to shift it’s gaze and expectations. There is a big change coming, one that will affect every single one of us. I suggest that you are pro-active and that you move with the times. Leave the hate behind and let’s embrace the love, and then the world will have a brighter future…
