German Unification - The 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

PeopleonWall

Twenty five years ago tomorrow, the symbol of communist rule over a huge swathe of Eastern Europe fell. At 18.57 hours in a press conference Günter Schabowski announced that the citizens of East Berlin could pass through the infamous wall into the Western half of the divided city unhindered. At that moment the barrier between East and West fell and freedom for the peoples of Germany was assured.

The chart for this historic moment was quite remarkable with a 4 planet stellium of Saturn Neptune Venus sand Uranus on the Capricorn descendant. Saturn was almost exactly conjunct Neptune in Capricorn, therefore structures and administrations (Saturn) were being dissolved and destroyed by the pressure of the collective. Uranus conjunct Venus showed a peaceful (Venus) revolution (Uranus). These last two planets were square to the Moon in late Pisces, therefore the people (Moon) were not going to be held back at this moment, Pisces is a sign that is fluid and free flowing, like a incoming tide it washes away any impediment in it's way, and in the same manner the Berlin Wall was breached.

Jupiter in Cancer in the 1st house indicated expansion and hope (Jupiter) from the vestiges of the past (Cancer) and a community spirit where everyone was welcome, like one big family. My cousin Sarah was there in Berlin that night. She felt the energy and with her boyfriend she drove right across Europe from England to East Germany to be there in order to be part of a night of history. The other four planets were in in Scorpio in the 5th house of individual freedom and expression. Finally everyone could raise their own voice with Mercury in 5th, have personal power with the Sun conjunct Pluto in Scorpio in the 5th. Mars in Scorpio in the 5th made trines to the Ascendant and the Midheaven indicating that individual actions would bring transformation, which indeed happened. The grand trine in operation here assured the ease of the transformation, and once it got moving, this would not stop until the goal of that evening to take control of a newly united city was achieved.

This is a superb example of Astrology mirroring the events of the day, and as ever it proves that the planets can always give impetus and potential energy for us to use so that we can all change our lives...
