Astrology of the Day – Moon into Pisces - Sunday 26th November 2017

The Moon starts off in the latter degrees of Aquarius this morning in a sextile to Saturn and Mercury. We have very steady emotions early on, rational thoughts and we'll be able to control ourselves, our emotions and our thoughts if we are plunged into any difficult situations. There will be a sense of calm that we can fall back upon, however things will start to change as the Moon exits Aquarius and enter the more sensitive yet chaotic sign of Pisces.

The Pisces Moon is very imaginative, sacrificial and escapist and wants to believe that everything is going to be fine and dandy, but often you know it isn't. The idealism that the Pisces Moon is often let down by the movements of the planets elsewhere, as if they can't live up to that which the Pisces Moon expects. There is a vulnerability of the emotions here, and anyone with the Moon in Pisces can be so sensitive and weak, that they can be taken advantage of by more hardy souls.

As the Moon starts to move forward we start to pick up on the first square to the Sun since the last Scorpio New Moon. There is tension between the fiery energy of the Sagittarian Sun and the elusive watery Moon and we find it difficult to marry these two mutable energies together. There is a likelihood for conflict here, and because the Sagittarian Sun can be too honest and blunt for its own good, this may lead to upset, to hurt and to so much emotion that we may even brought to tears. Jupiter the planet of expansion is now in a closing trine to Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, and the Moon gets close and closer to this connection as the day goes on. The closer it gets, the more the emotion in us wells up. Mercury now slowing down as it is approaching a period of retrograde motion is still on the star Aculeus and there is potential for hurtful words to be directed causing this kind of reaction.

Now while this is happening Venus is perfecting a trine to Chiron, the planet of wounding and healing. If there is discord today through the clash of Sun and Moon, we can find a solution through remembering to show love, caring and a selfless attitude. There is much forgiveness here, and the ability to find the actions to suit the situation. Venus itself is now moving in the constellation of Centaurus sitting on the star Agena. The Centaur was wounded in mythology, and this is a star of healing with a common touch and this energy is at our fingertips if we need to use it. What we must do today is put an arm round a shoulder if needed, to show understanding and space if necessary, and to show that we love and we care…
